Here is what some past participants of Run Like A Girl have to say about the course…

I’ve just finished the intermediate running course with Raedi.I thoroughly enjoyed it.I started running only 12 weeks ago.Not having ran since I was in 6th class, which is a long time ago.I can’t believe how far we’ve come in that short time.We started with 3 minute runs in the first class and now I can run up to an hour now.
Raedi is very encouraging at every step of the way.She has great knowledge and has given us loads of advice on all aspects of training, from injury prevention.nutrition, building up our endurance and how to manage ourselves doing our solos runs.
The support of running with the group has been fantastic. And it was very sociable and a bit of craic. It makes running at the start a lot easier(a lot,a lot easier) .I will miss the girls over the summer months. And now I must say I’m totally hooked.
Just did my second fun run in Kerry at the weekend and I’m already looking out to do a few more over the coming months.Paula Radcliffe watch out!!!
I’m also delighted with my new much improve fitness levels. And I feel all the better for it.
I’d highly recommend Raedi’s course. It’s been absolutely brilliant. And the beauty of running is that everyone can do it.

When I signed up for the Run Like A Girl beginners class two months ago, I did so with the intention of just getting out and being active for the summer. What I found was a great group of like minded women, of all ages and fitness levels, who were all complete beginners like me. We started off by running for three minutes at a time and by the end of the six weeks we were all able to run for 30 minutes non-stop.

Raedi is the ultimate professional when it comes to running and I would (and have) recommend her to everyone. She is positive, supportive, patient and encouraging… all of which are great confidence boosters and very infectious! Raedi has loads of tips on all aspects of fitness and has some great ideas on nutrition as well. She is conscious of everyone’s fitness level and never leaves anyone behind. Her love of running is contagious.

I really enjoyed the course and, most surprisingly to me, love running now. Over the six weeks I built up my endurance for running with a few added bonuses along the way (better mood, better sleep pattern, toning, and generally just feeling so much better in myself). The ladies from the group still meet twice a week to run together and we are all doing the mini marathon in June, something I never thought I’d do. I can’t wait and I look forward to the day that I am ready for the intermediate class. Everyone should join this group irrespective of your age, size or fitness level. You’ll love it just as much as I did.

I joined the beginners class 6 weeks ago and had not even run for a bus before!! I was a bit nervous before the first class but was pleasently surprised by meeting a great bunch of girls who were also complete beginners. The instructor Raedi was so patient and great the way she explained how to get the best out of our running and had lots of tips to share with us about all aspects of fitness, not just running. We built up our duration of running from 3 mins in the first class to 30 mins by week 6. The class was really enjoyable and all levels were catered for, I am 46 and not exactly a stick insect!! I really enjoyed our twice weekly sessions and have run 2 races of 5km in the last couple of weeks and am so pleased with my increase in fitness and energy. I am looking forward to joining the intermediate class and my confidence in my running has grown so much that I have enrolled for the 10km mini marathon in 7 weeks time. BRING IT ON!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and I’m so glad that I joined up. I said on the very first evening we met that I had never liked running, however the course has completely changed my thoughts on that. It showed me at 40+ years, what I could do and over the weeks you slowly built us up from not being able to run (well, me anyway!) to running for 30 minutes; something I never thought I would be able to do. It was also great to meet a great bunch of girls and to have people to run with in the future. Thank you Raedi for the last 6 weeks and I look forward to the next course.

I really enjoyed my Run Like a Girl Course. I wanted to make headaway with running but found clubs too competitve to start with and running on my own I found a bit boring. This course suited me perfectly as it eases you into runnning slowly and builds it up, the group is great as they are all at a similar stage and Raedi is a fantastic and friendly coach. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the beginners course with Raedi I tried many times to run alone but when you are with a group it is so much easier .I found Raedi to be a fantastic teacher, always  in a great mood and the girls I ran with were a lovely group of people. I will definitely be joining the intermediate group in january but in the meantime we are still meeting up mon and wed for our run. I would really miss the running if I was not doing it so a big thank you to Raedi, a brilliant teacher!

I thoroughly enjoyed every night I went out with Raedi and the Run Like A Girl members. I never really ran before and was always envious of those that did and anytime I tried myself I never was able to get beyond a few minutes. All that changed with RLAG, Raedi started us with the basics and helped us build up our tolerance and speed, I never thought I would be able to run 30 minutes but with Raedi’s encouragement, patience and good humour I got there! I have just finished Intermediate Level 1 and am looking forward to Level 2. My fitness has improved immensely, the girls are great fun and even if I don’t feel like going some nights I am always glad that I did! I can’t say enough to people how much I enjoy so thanks Raedi and see you on the next course!
