Here is an outline of the New Run Like A Girl courses

If you…. Your goal is…. Class
Can walk briskly for 20 minutes Run for 30 minutes by the end of 6 weeksImprove your cardio fitness, strength & stamina Beginners

Fee Structure

The Beginners course costs 120 euro for 2 nights a week, over 6 weeks

The Intermediate Level 1 Course costs 120 euro or 110 euro if you have already completed the Beginners or are repeating the courses again. This is for 2 nights a week, over 6 weeks

The Intermediate Level 2 Course costs 120 euro or 110 if you have already completed 1 course with RLAG or 100 if you have completed both. This is for 2 nights a week, over 6 weeks

Beginners Course

This course is for absolute beginners, even if you couldn’t run for a bus! If you would like to learn to run in a supportive, friendly environment whilst improving your fitness then this course is for you!

There are a number of aims I follow through the course -

  • Begin with a simple walk/run method and gradually build up our times & distance
  • Increase knowledge of correct running form and breathing technique
  • Understanding the importance of nutrition, hydration, rest & recovery
  • Incorporate gentle stretching for prevention of injuries & improving muscle flexibility
  • Share information, tips, advice & support each other in a friendly group
  • Improve your fitness and your overall well being
  • Enjoy running in the fresh air
  • Gain the confidence to run and continue running after you have successfully completed the course
  • Build a routine for you that will incorporate exercise in a manageable & efficient way
  • Support ambitions that you may have to train for ie. fun runs, 5ks, 10k’s, marathons, whatever you see yourself doing!!

Intermediate Courses

Intermediate Level 1

This course is suitable for anybody who has completed the Beginners Course or who is running 2/3 times a week for around 30 minutes. The general aims are as follows -

  • Improve your stamina and endurance
  • Experience running over varied terrain, making it more interesting, challenging and enjoyable!
  • Improve your knowledge of injury prevention & running efficiency
  • Build your core strength and improve flexibility
  • Help you plan a training routine that suits you & your lifestyle
  • Introduce basic speed training which will help to improve your overall pace

Intermediate Level 2

This course is designed as to give you the next step up for your fitness. It’s for you if you have completed the L1 course or you can run at a steady pace for 45 minutes. This course follows the aims of the Level 1 but steps up the intensity a notch to ensure you are making the fitness gains you deserve from your training!
